Sable & Ink is a space built for the stories that make reality more bearable... or remind you it could always be worse. I love to review fantasy of wildly different shades to add some magic to my life, and (mostly atmospheric) horror because existential dread is my resting state and one flavor of insomnia is clearly not enough.

What I offer
A genuine, thoughtful read and a review that reflects my actual experience of the book. I accept both physical copies and ebooks.
I'm as interested in how a book came to be as in what it became.

What I don't do
My reviews are not for sale. I want to ensure a fair treatment of every author and book.
I write what I think. I try to be fair and kind, but I can't and don't want to promise a good review before I've read a word.
S&I has an atmosphere that I'm deeply committed to. Therefore I'll sometimes have to decline books that feel too far outside it.
